RiseMe in Mechanicsburg, PA seeks a Manager, Production Planning to lead planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics, ensuring materials arrive reliably to support manufacturing. You will connect manufacturing, procurement, transportation, vendors, and customers to balance demand with production capacity.

You will supervise staff, drive kaizen improvements, and manage supplier relationships while maintaining safety and quality standards to support growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or related curriculum preferred.
• 5 to 8 years of production planning or related experience with leadership attributes; 1+ year of manager experience preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process flow and planning methodologies.
• Lead and coach teams; supervise, train and manage personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping/receiving to meet customer requirements at lowest cost while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Lead and develop assigned employees; recruit, schedule, evaluate, and resolve issues with HR and plant management.
• Oversee strategic purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving.
• Procurement and coordination of all raw ingredients and packaging materials.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; interpret for supervisors and staff.
• Oversee inventory levels to protect operations and financial goals.
• Lead kaizen events, corrective actions, and audits.
• Maintain programs, spreadsheets and records for accurate, up-to-date information.

Job description

We are seeking a Manager, Production Planning for our Mechanicsburg, PA retort plant, where we produce dairy-based coffee beverages. In this pivotal role, you will drive the planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics strategies that keep our operation running efficiently and our customers supplied. Serving as a key connector across manufacturing, procurement, transportation, vendors, and customers, you will balance demand with production capabilities while ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time to support operational excellence and business growth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage daily shipping/receiving activities to ensure customer orders are received, scheduled, and produced at the lowest possible cost to meet the customer’s requirements while maintaining established safety and quality standards.
• Manage assigned employees, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management. Work with Human Resources and plant management to resolve employee related issues.
• Manage activities related to strategic purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving.
• Manage procurement and coordination of all raw ingredients and packaging material.
• Ensure that all regulations and company policies are understood and followed by supervisors and production employees; advise them of correct interpretation when necessary.
• Oversee and manage inventory levels to safeguard operational and financial goals.
• Lead and participate in kaizen events, corrective actions, and audits.
• Develop, maintain, and manage programs, spreadsheets and other record keeping methods to ensure accurate information is readily available and current.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or related curriculum preferred.
• 5 to 8 years of production planning, or related experience with demonstrated leadership attributes, team leadership, or supervisory experience; 1+ year of manager experience preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process flow and importance to process; strong understanding of facility utility infrastructure and its impact to production throughput.
• Knowledge and understanding of planning and production methodologies.
• Skilled in leadership and coaching; knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training, and personnel management.
• Computer proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, PP with the ability to learn new systems efficiently.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
