Job summary

Textron Systems in Slidell, LA is seeking a Production Planner Intern to work on real projects alongside experienced professionals. You will review engineering and manufacturing data, examine BOMs, shop orders, and routing sheets, and collaborate with production to address defects.

This 10-week paid internship includes mentorship and hands-on learning, with opportunities to build skills in Excel and Power BI, and to contribute to quality and process improvements. U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed bachelor’s in a related engineering field.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication with management and peers.
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven self-starter.
• Proficient in MS Excel; Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews engineering and manufacturing data and BOMs.
• Approves purchase orders, drawings, parts, and process plans.
• Analyzes data to identify trends and defects.
• Performs quality engineering work requiring technical competence.
• Handles complex design requirements and coordination.
• Collaborates with Production to mitigate defect recurrence.
• Interfaces with engineering and supply chain on quality issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
