Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planning Assistant to support the Production Planning team by creating, maintaining, and distributing production documentation across multiple facilities.

The role ensures accurate information for all departments, manages ECNs, updates and replaces drawings in packets, and coordinates with internal teams to keep production flowing smoothly while identifying process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or manufacturing support role.
• Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• A service-oriented approach to internal (production) stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and compile production paperwork packets for multiple departments
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and tailored to the needs of each department
• Distribute production packets to multiple facilities and coordinate delivery
• Review and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), ensuring updates are correctly applied to active production documentation
• Replace drawings and documents in existing production packets, based on ECNs
• Prioritize workload based on production schedules and deadlines
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all locations have the required documentation to maintain production flow
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and efficiency
