Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a motivated Production Planning Assistant in Milwaukee, WI to support our production planning team. This role focuses on creating, maintaining, and distributing production documentation across multiple facilities to keep operations running smoothly.

You will handle ECNs, replace drawings, and coordinate with departments to ensure accurate information, timely packets, and efficient flow of production data.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or manufacturing support role.
• Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Service-oriented approach to internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Experience handling production documentation / engineering drawings.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Excel, Adobe, SharePoint, or Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Create and compile production paperwork packets for multiple departments
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and tailored to the needs of each department
• Distribute production packets to multiple facilities and coordinate delivery
• Review and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), ensuring updates are correctly applied to active production documentation
• Replace drawings and documents in existing production packets, based on ECNs
• Prioritize workload based on production schedules and deadlines
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all locations have the required documentation to maintain production flow
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and efficiency
