Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years exempt experience or Master's with 8+ years.
• NNS Apprentice School or NNPS may substitute for a Bachelor's.
• Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or 4 years non-exempt.
• Military experience aligned to Navy equivalency may count toward degree.
• High School/GED with manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules.
• Coordinate material requirements for a controlled flow of approved materials.
• Advise management on WIP status, material availability and issues.
• Ensure personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
• Schedule equipment and personnel to meet production needs.
• Confirm material supply and demands.
• Prepare work orders or purchase requests for components or parts.
• Coordinate activities across QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic.
• Schedule and expedite movement of parts via move orders and stock transfers.

Job description

• Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to production requirements
• Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
• Ensure personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed
• Schedule equipment and personnel
• Confirm material supply and demands
• Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts
• Coordinate activities across quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic departments
• Schedule and expedite movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; or Master’s Degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience
• NNS Apprentice School graduate may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
• Exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to work multiple shifts
