  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests based on master schedule and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic.
  • Schedule and expedite movement of parts through orders, stock transfers and shipping requests.

Job description

  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
  • Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
  • Ensure personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed
  • Schedule equipment and personnel
  • Confirm material supply and demands
  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
  • Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Equivalent options: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience; Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience; High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience; High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred
  • Clearance not required to start
