Job summary

Thermal Structures, Inc. is seeking a Planning Supervisor to translate customer demands into practical manufacturing plans and schedules.

You will review orders, coordinate with production, track progress, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining clear communication with customers. The role requires 2+ years in a manufacturing planning role, strong Excel skills, and experience with customer demand portals; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Significant experience with computerized customer demand portals and strong Excel skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to translate complex and changing customer demands into clear manufacturing plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Enter and review customer orders for fulfillment per internal form.
• Translate sales orders into production schedules and review material requirements.
• Send acknowledgments with delivery dates to customers.
• Provide ongoing customer service by phone or email to assigned customers.
• Monitor planner releases to ensure on-time delivery and proper traveler closure.

Requirements

Responsibilities and authority:

• Enters, and reviews customer orders for fulfillment per TSI Form 058.
• Reviews material requirements, and translates sales orders into production schedules. .
• Sends customer an acknowledgement confirming delivery dates.
• Performs ongoing customer service with all assigned customers via phone and or email.
• Verifies Planer's releases the appropriate jobs to the cage in a timely fashion, supporting the goal of on-time delivery for all manufactured parts. Ensure travelers are properly closed before shipments.
• Tracks the progress of parts through the manufacturing process.
• Ship and tracks shipments, updates production schedule and runs daily reports to assure on-time delivery. Must work with Shipping Manager to ensure parts ship as required by TSI's due dates.
• Expedites job if necessary with prior management approval.
• Provides weekly backlog schedules to Purchasing , concerning upcoming customer schedules for the purpose of ordering appropriate amount of material.
• Uploads TSI's invertory in customer's portal with prior Manager's approval.
• Perform monthly inventory functions and gathers data for WIP, and Finished Good Reports.
• Planning Supervisor must be able to perform all the planners's function's.
• Planning Supervisor is responsible for the performance of the planner/planners.
• Additional responsibilities within the department may be assigned by your Manager.

Minimum qualifications and experience requirements:

• At least 2-years experience in planning role in a manufacturing environment field.
• Significant experience in computerized customer demand portals is mandatory as well as a strong command of Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Ability to translate complex and changing customer demands and communicate those demands internally as clear manufacturing plans and schedules is the key component of this position.

Delegation of duties during absence:

• Planning Supervisor will be the primary coverage during absence of the Planning;Purchasing and Inventory Manager.

Pay Range The estimated pay range for this job. Disclosing pay information promotes competitive and equitable pay. The actual pay rate will depend on the person's qualifications and experience. $20.00 - $27.00 / hour
