Job summary

ARAUCO North America, Inc. in Malvern, AR seeks a Production Planner & Shipping Supervisor to manage production schedules and shipping operations onsite.

You will connect Production and Sales to meet customer demands, coordinate Line 1 & 2, sander and saw schedules, and maintain lean inventory while ensuring on-time shipments. The role requires 4+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and experience with ERP or production planning software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 4+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience in production scheduling, shipping/logistics, or inventory coordination
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supervising or leading teams in an operational setting
• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
• Experience with production planning and scheduling software or ERP systems
• Prior experience coordinating transportation and working with trucking vendors
• Knowledge of inventory control practices and lean manufacturing principles
• OSHA training (10-hour or higher)
• Experience in wood products or heavy manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary link between Production and Sales to meet customer needs and keep lines running efficiently
• Develop and manage production schedules for Line 1 & 2, sander, and saw to maximize utilization
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain lean plant inventory
• Ensure orders are completed accurately and shipped on time
• Provide daily reports and updates to mill management and Sales
• Coordinate with trucking companies to arrange timely shipment of finished goods
• Oversee shipping personnel to ensure safe, accurate loading of orders
• Manage payroll and departmental budget for the shipping department
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized shipping and finished goods warehouse environment
• Uphold company safety standards and participate in trainings
