Job summary

Northrop Grumman Armament Systems in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Associate (Level 1) Production Planning and Scheduler to work onsite on a 4x10 schedule. You will act as a liaison between warehouse, operations and production control, coordinating material delivery and supporting program builds to keep manufacturing on schedule.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or 4 years related experience), knowledge of MRP, and familiarity with Costpoint and MES, plus strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years related experience in production planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of MRP.
• Experience with Costpoint and MES.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate material delivery to the floor in support of the MPS.
• Coordinate material needs in the factory to keep production moving.
• Support all program builds by collaborating with each program Production Control Scheduler to resolve delays.
• Finalize product staging and queue the production plan to drive on-time manufacturing orders.
• Resolve MES and Costpoint issues for Production Control.
• Maintain COTS material forward stock on the floor.
• Monitor build to prevent production line-down scenarios.
• Prioritize and expedite incoming material to ensure inspection and inventory for manufacturing needs.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with QA, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Traffic, and Contract Administration.
