Job summary

Sanmina’s Carrollton facility is seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler for Medical Device manufacturing. You will develop daily/weekly production schedules aligned with customer orders, monitor inventory, and ensure materials availability to meet delivery targets.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in manufacturing with strong MRP expertise, and knowledge of FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820) and ISO 13485.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor products through production cycle based on orders and delivery requirements.
• Create production schedules from engineering plans to meet capacity and labor loading needs.
• Coordinate material availability to support schedules.
• Revise schedules when required and reschedule rework or special orders.
• Communicate with departments to align production requirements.

Job Purpose

Our Carrollton facility is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler for our Medical Device manufacturing operations. Responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor products through the complete production cycle based on customer orders and delivery requirements
• Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements
• Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules
• Make or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met
• Reschedule rework, unfinished parts, and assemblies, new production releases, and special orders
• Establish effective communication with various departments as necessary to meet production requirements

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years related experience
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes
• A strong background in MRP
• An understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes
• Working knowledge of FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485 and ability to understand other medical device regulations and standards
• Preferred experience with electronic multi level builds who is willing to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
• Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
• A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
