Job description

Join to apply for the Production Planner/Scheduler role at MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.).

This position involves supporting production in sales order management, forecast management, customer interface, and work order maintenance.

Responsibilities
  1. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production to meet customer demand outlined in MRP using planning parameters.
  2. Reviewing and updating planning parameters in line with demand changes, capacity, and inventory goals.
  3. Revising schedules and issuing work orders to accommodate order changes, cancellations, and revised forecasts.
  4. Determining revised plans in case of schedule failures.
  5. Notifying customer service about failures in meeting shipping schedules.
  6. Researching late parts, identifying bottlenecks, and alerting manufacturing.
  7. Collaborating with engineering and customer service to implement engineering changes and monitor BOM issues.
  8. Working with Master Scheduling to maintain and execute master plans.
  9. Expediting late deliveries from vendors or subcontractors as needed.
  10. Analyzing production data to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize costs.
Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field, 1-3 years of planning experience, APICS Certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
