Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Production Planner to manage the master production schedule and 4-week daily schedules at our Phillipsburg, NJ site. Responsibilities include material planning, supplier coordination, and cross-department collaboration to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires BA/BS in a related field with 3–5 years in production planning; SAP experience and APICS certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in supply chain management or related field required.
• 3–5 years in production planning preferred.
• APICS/ASCM certification a plus.
• Experience using SAP for planning/material movement preferred.
• Experience in regulated environments (cGMP, ISO, FDA) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop master production schedule and 4-week detailed daily schedule.
• Purchase materials, packaging components, and supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with sourcing, production, quality, procurement, distribution, product management, marketing & sales, and customer service.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to optimize costs and meet customer deadlines.
• Issue SAP process orders and report back from operations teams.
• Back up other Planners/Schedulers across North American facilities.
