Job summary

Paramont Machine Company (PMC) is seeking a Production Planner to create, manage, and optimize the production schedule to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and inventory. You will collaborate across departments to coordinate workflows, materials, and labor, using the ERP/MRP system (Oracle E1) to ensure on-time delivery of finished products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, purchasing or materials management in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NAV) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, and supply chain principles.
• Ability to analyze large datasets to forecast demand and optimize scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Certification in CPIM or similar ASCM/APICS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling: Develop detailed schedules (daily/weekly/monthly) based on material availability, labor, and capacity.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, avoiding shortages and overstock.
• MRP: Use ERP/MRP system to ensure components are available to meet schedules.
• Purchasing: Secure favorable terms, enter and track purchase orders with suppliers.
• Coordination & Communication: Align purchasing and production with customer demands across departments.
• Performance Reporting: Generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and KPIs for management.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime, and apply lean principles to boost efficiency.
