Job summary

Harrington is seeking a production planning professional to actively analyze, monitor, and maintain MRP inputs and outputs to provide stocking work orders to the shop floor. You will track work in progress and close orders when complete.

Responsibilities include maintaining JDE records, analyzing MRP messages to generate orders based on material availability and shop capacity, handling stock transfer orders, and ensuring inventory controls for finished goods and customer orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a planning/scheduling environment.
• Ability to plan a variety of products of a complex nature.
• Thorough knowledge of MRP and inventory planning techniques, including a good understanding of purchasing fundamentals. JDE experience a plus
• Excellent analytical abilities and PC skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

• Maintain JDE branch record settings to ensure accurate MRP messages.
• Analyze stocking MRP messages to generate work orders dated based on material availability and shop floor capacity
• Enter, track, and maintain stock transfer orders
• Review, redate, and transfer orders
• Ensure proper work order inventory controls including backflushed, issued, and serialized inventory
• Plan and control finished goods inventory for stock and customer orders with ownership and accountability
• Make decisions on work order quantities and dates based on MRP and supply and demand data
• Monitor work orders to ensure system and shop floor expectations are aligned
