Job summary

Farwest Steel Corporation in the Western United States is seeking a Production Planner to schedule and coordinate manufacturing flow, review the master production schedule, and align priorities with customer orders. The role requires strong Excel skills, English communication, and the ability to work in a team, with onsite hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and a wage of $21.00 to $27.00 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ years of experience.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Proficiency with standard office software and equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other analysis tools.
• Punctual and ready to work daily.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow between departments to expedite production.
• Review master production schedule and set priorities for customer orders.
• Communicate rush capabilities between operations, sales, purchasing, shipping and programming.
• Confer with supervisors to monitor progress and communicate changes in processing methods.
• Manage delivery date calculations to maximize on-time production.
• Support weekly KPI review meetings and root-cause analysis.
