As the Production Planner/Expeditor, you will ensure our production processes are optimized, our supply chain is efficient, and we meet customer and delivery requirements. You will collaborate with multiple departments to attain overall planning objectives and understand UPC products and production processes as we continue to manufacture new and variable product lines. You will serve as the liaison between Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Production to ensure sales demand and production flow smoothly, and to address issues related to shortages, material/tool backlogs, design changes, etc.
Work is performed in an office and may include regular visits to manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping areas. Those areas may involve moving equipment, noise, temperature variation, and exposure to dust or other typical production-floor conditions. Follow required personal protective equipment and safety procedures when entering production areas. The role may involve frequent interruptions, deadline pressure, cross‑department coordination, and occasional schedule changes or overtime to address production or delivery issues
