Waukesha Bearings is a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings, active magnetic bearing systems and seals for high-performing turbomachinery and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, marine, military, and industrial markets. Due to our government client, US Citizenship is required.WHAT YOU’LL DOThe Production Planner is responsible for creating and managing the master production plan. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams—including manufacturing, purchasing, and customer service—to forecast demand, schedule production, and ensure timely order fulfillment. The Production Planner monitors order flow, adjusts production schedules, and ensures material availability to meet customer delivery requirements. Specific responsibilities include:Develop and manage the master production schedule based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with material availability, lead times, and operational capacity.Monitor order progress through the shop floor and adjust schedules and routings as needed to meet delivery commitments.Communicate production schedule changes or delays to all relevant stakeholders.Analyze forecast data and manufacturing constraints to identify opportunities for production smoothing and efficiency gains.Release materials from stockroom or staging areas to support scheduled orders.Print, assemble, and distribute job packets to designated value streams.Close job orders daily for assigned value streams to maintain accurate system records.Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to scheduling, materials flow, and production planning processes.WHAT YOU’LL BRING2+ years’ experience in manufacturing and/or demand planning.Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills for managing production plans and analyzing data.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Must be a U.S. citizen (due to ITAR/UNNPI regulations).ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCESAssociate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.Experience using Syteline ERP system.Mechanical aptitude to learn the technical aspects of Waukesha Bearing’s products.Previous experience in production planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to work closely with buyers and supply chain partners to ensure material lead times align with production needs.This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.We consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position’s responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, a candidate’s education/training, the position’s location, and the key skills needed for the position.
