Dover Precision Components – Waukesha Bearings in Antigo, Wisconsin, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to read blueprints, set up CNC mills and lathes, and perform precision inspections in a safety-conscious, lean environment.

Ideal candidates will have CNC programming knowledge (G-code), CAM software experience, and familiarity with GD&T and precision measurement tools. U.S. citizenship is required for regulatory reasons.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year machine tool operation certificate or 3–6 months related experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints, GD&T standards.
  • Familiar with CNC milling machines or CNC lathes.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges.
  • U.S. citizen due to ITAR and UNNPI regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Read, process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine dimensional specifications.
  • Set up, and operate CNC machines; download programs from DNC storage system.
  • Interpret work instructions and select proper tooling.
  • Perform quality inspections and ensure adherence to safety and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Create and maintain a team-focused work environment.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.The ideal candidate has experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate has knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and CAM programming software for toolpath creation.The ideal candidate has familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.The ideal candidate has ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines confidently.The ideal candidate will demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and lean manufacturing practices within a fast-paced production setting.Must be a U.S. citizen (due to ITAR and UNNPI regulatory requirements)This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.We consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position’s responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, a candidate’s education/training, the position’s location, and the key skills needed for the position.
