Production Planner

Location: Maryville, Tennessee, United States

The production planner's role involves converting planned orders into production orders, ensuring cross-functional consensus on schedules for optimal performance, and reporting on production status and issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Schedule work cells a month in advance.
• Ensure materials and goods required for production are available at the right time.
• Create and print job folders for picking.
• Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, and production supervisors to review and adjust schedules.
• Generate reports on production performance.
• Identify and address issues using Pareto analysis.
• Track on-time delivery (OTD) performance against schedules.
• Post completed jobs in the system.

What We Expect from You

• At least 2 years of experience as a production planner, preferably in a large global organization.
• Experience with MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production flow processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to product quality and safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Word) and ERP systems (Southware preferred).
• High initiative, commitment, and perseverance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
