Job summary

Streck in Nebraska seeks a Production Planner to ensure we meet customer demand. You will plan raw material inventory, build forecasts, and partner with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing to keep production running smoothly using SyteLine and Excel.

A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in inventory control or supply chain are required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan raw material inventory levels for assigned product categories with Production and Purchasing.
• Develop and communicate component material forecasts to vendors.
• Analyze production and scrap trends to project future needs.
• Review and optimize system ordering parameters with Purchasing.
• Provide analytical insights on productivity and metrics to management.
• Generate and review production orders, planning sheets, and device history records.
• Maintain production calendars and cyclic volume estimations.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to adjust plans as demand changes.
• Build cross-functional knowledge to serve as backup in Planning and Inventory Control.

About The Role

As a Production Planner, you'll play a key role in making sure Streck can consistently meet customer demand. You'll plan raw material inventory, build and communicate production forecasts, and work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing to keep production running smoothly. You'll use tools like SyteLine, Streck's internal planning database, and Excel to turn forecasts and historical data into clear, actionable production plans.

What You'll Do

• Plan raw material inventory levels for your assigned product categories, coordinating incoming receipts with Production and Purchasing


• Develop and communicate component material forecasts to vendors


• Analyze production and scrap trends to project future production requirements


• Partner with Purchasing to review and optimize system ordering parameters


• Deliver analytical insight to management on departmental productivity and metrics


• Generate and review lot-specific production orders, planning sheets, and device history records


• Maintain cyclic volume estimations and the production calendar for your categories


• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to adjust production plans as demand changes


• Build cross-functional knowledge of Planning, Production Control, and Inventory Control to serve as a backup when needed

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (business, technical, or supply chain preferred)


• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as Infor/SyteLine, Oracle, or SAP


• Minimum of three years of combined experience in inventory control, planning, or supply chain within an operations environment


• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills


• Clear, effective communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments


• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
