Job summary

Streck, a Nebraska-based manufacturing company, is seeking a Production Planner who will ensure we meet customer demand by planning raw material inventories, building production forecasts, and coordinating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing. You will turn forecasts and historical data into actionable production plans using SyteLine and Excel.

You will collaborate across departments, analyze production trends, manage lot-specific orders and calendars, and help optimize planning,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Infor/SyteLine, Oracle, SAP).
  • Minimum of three years in inventory control, planning, or supply chain within an operations environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Plan raw material inventory levels for assigned product categories, coordinating incoming receipts with Production and Purchasing.
  • Develop and communicate component material forecasts to vendors.
  • Analyze production and scrap trends to project future production requirements.
  • Partner with Purchasing to review and optimize system ordering parameters.
  • Deliver analytical insight to management on departmental productivity and metrics.
  • Generate and review lot-specific production orders, planning sheets, and device history records.
  • Maintain cyclic volume estimations and the production calendar for categories.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to adjust production plans as demand changes.
  • Build cross-functional knowledge of Planning, Production Control, and Inventory Control to serve as backup when needed.

About the Role

As a Production Planner, you'll play a key role in making sure Streck can consistently meet customer demand. You'll plan raw material inventory, build and communicate production forecasts, and work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing to keep production running smoothly. You'll use tools like SyteLine, Streck's internal planning database, and Excel to turn forecasts and historical data into clear, actionable production plans.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of three years of combined experience in inventory control, planning, or supply chain within an operations environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, effective communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
