Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. seeks a Production Planner Assistant in Houston to support manufacturing scheduling and materials planning.

The role is a temp-to-hire opportunity with pay between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, and daytime hours with overtime and weekend flexibility as needed. Responsibilities include creating master schedules, analyzing capacity, coordinating workflow, and preparing reports and purchase orders to ensure on-time production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Production Planner Assistant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• MS Office experience: Excel, Word and Access.

Responsibilities

• Draws up a master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
• Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
• Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
• Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Prepares production reports.
• Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepares purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.

Summary

Assists Planners with planning and preparing production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products by performing the following duties.
