Job summary

gpac is seeking a Production Planner in the United States to manage daily production scheduling across multiple departments. You will collaborate with department supervisors to develop a realistic plan and update it daily to reflect changes and ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems, and a proven track record in production planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a production planner.
• Strong understanding of production planning processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, with intermediate Excel skills as the primary scheduling tool.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with department supervisors and project managers throughout the production process.
• Experience in steel fabrication and job shop environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the daily active production schedule.
• Coordinate production workflow and scheduling throughout the production cycle.
• Plan and prioritize operations to optimize performance and minimize delays based on customer needs and production capacity.
• Identify and coordinate overtime requirements with department supervisors based on customer demands and manpower availability.
• Assist in determining manpower requirements to meet production demand, in collaboration with department supervisors.
• Monitor jobs to ensure they remain within the quoted manhours.
• Address production issues promptly, aiming to minimize disruptions and provide constructive solutions.
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports as requested.
• Work closely with department supervisors, project managers, quality control, and other staff to ensure accurate scheduling.
