Benefits AvailableProduction Planner Description:Production Planner will assess current state of production, on daily basis, and define jobs/activities to be completed by aircraft assembly production team. This position must be knowledgeable in aircraft manufacturing operations, manufacturing processes, problem-solving techniques and leading others. This position will also serve as the 2nd shift production supervisor as needed.
The Production Planner position will focus on:- Assess quality, engineering, and other industrial data to define weekly planning schedule
- Collaborate with logistics, process engineering and quality colleagues to understand status of quality notices and/or other operational barriers to production
- Work with assembly production supervisors and team leads for online status of production activities and/or operational issues
- Work with manufacturing engineering for status updates on Work Instructions
- Align on production decisions, workforce planning with supervisors/tech leads; escalate issues, address roadblocks, and drive issue resolution.
- Create and maintain reports on build progress, hours built, hours spent, rework hours, tracking, defects created/solved and other critical indicators
- Lead improvement activities for shop floor processes and implement shop floor process improvements
- Support the Assembly Production team by covering 2nd Shift Production operations as needed (planned and unscheduled absences, etc.)
Production Planner Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Operations, Aviation Manufacturing, or Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of production planning in aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience in aviation operations
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to communicate at all levels, including with Senior Leadership
- Candidate must be a high-energy, agile, and hands-on individual
- Motivated by complex tasks, dynamic environments, and fast response
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances.
