Role Impact
This role ensures that complex, project-driven manufacturing operations meet delivery timelines without compromising quality or resource allocation. The Production Planner is essential to translating custom project specs into actionable schedules, working cross-functionally to manage capacity, lead times, and inventory, enabling precision-built solutions to ship on time and on scope.
Key Duties
• Build and update project-specific production schedules aligned to engineering release dates and client delivery targets
• Convert project BOMs into work orders, incorporating lead times, shop floor constraints, and labor plans
• Coordinate closely with procurement to confirm timely availability of raw materials and sub-assemblies
• Lead daily schedule reviews to identify delays, shift plans, or resolve resource conflicts
• Communicate and adjust schedules based on engineering changes, project scope shifts, or delivery reprioritization
• Track work order progress in ERP/MRP and ensure clear, updated documentation on change orders and plan revisions
Essential Qualifications
• 3+ years in production planning or scheduling within project-based or custom manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor
• Knowledge of manufacturing capacity planning, labor management, and job-shop workflows

SAP or Epicor • Custom BOMs • ETO/MTO project workflows • ERP production modules • Work order dispatching • Schedule adherence KPIs • Microsoft Excel • Shop floor control systems • Gantt charts • Capacity modeling tools
Preferred Skills
• PMP or CPIM certification
• Familiarity with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) environments
• Experience leading planning improvements using lean or Six Sigma tools
