Job description

Job Description Overview:

Egan Company is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Production Planner within the Industrial Controls group to support long-term business growth with new and existing customers in various markets. We are looking for candidates with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to support our teams. Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain schedules to meet project deadlines and company goals.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to fill gaps and adjust schedules dynamically.
  3. Coordinate between office and shop floor to ensure production documentation and materials are available.
  4. Work with department managers for capacity planning and scheduling.
  5. Manage master scheduling meetings with project managers, account managers, and engineering management.
  6. Analyze engineering documents for manufacturability and schedule impact.
  7. Support account managers with coordination, analytics, and scheduling.
  8. Act as liaison between sales, engineering, and production.
  9. Address material shortages with cross-functional teams.
  10. Support improvement of scheduling tools and processes.
  11. Gather and analyze data to create reports.
  12. Train team members on scheduling tools and processes.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Two-year degree or Vo-Tech certificate and/or 2 years of experience in manufacturing complex electrical/mechanical equipment; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to read specs and blueprints for manufacturability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing labor and material schedules in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, controls, UL 508A Panel Shop, OEM, and manufacturing controls.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Work in office and manufacturing environments.
