Job summary

AERO Specialties, a world leader in ground support equipment, is seeking a Production Planner for its Boise, ID area. You will work with the Production Manager to ensure accurate BOMs, release and track work orders, and ensure timely material issuance and order completion.

The role emphasizes strong communication across internal teams and with external partners, precise data entry into the MRP, and ongoing process improvement to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a production planning position/environment with related skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with skills in Microsoft Word, MS Project and Excel.
  • Strong MRP system experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail and desire to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Self-motivation to help drive growth and change to support future organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production documentation and MRP entries.
  • Ensure bills of material are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare and release work orders.
  • Ensure materials are issued to production orders in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure production orders are completed on time.
  • Communicate production-related information inside and outside the company.
  • Update production schedule daily to communicate deliverables.
  • Maintain material lists and BOMs for timely issuance and closure.
  • Input data into the MRP system and support others as needed.
  • Create compliant production paperwork.
  • Coordinate with other departments/customers to meet deliverables.
  • Complete reports for the Production Manager.
  • Maintain and improve processes for efficient operations.

AERO Specialties is a world leader in manufacturing and distributing high-quality ground support equipment (GSE). The AERO Specialties Production Planner works with the Production Manager to ensure the proper execution of all production documentation and MRP system entries. This includes ensuring that bills of material are accurate, preparing and releasing work orders, ensuring that all materials are issued to the production orders in a timely fashion, and that the production orders are completed on time. This position is responsible for production-related communication flow inside and outside the company.

  • Supervise and drive the regular workflow and tasks of our production plans
  • Ensure accuracy of all production related documents and proper data input to the MRP

  • Maintain estimated material lists and bills of material to ensure all materials are issued and production orders are closed in a timely fashion
  • Ensure accurate data entry in the MRP system and provide support to others when needed
  • Ensure production paperwork is created, processed, and compliant with internal and external requirements
  • Coordinate with other departments/customers to ensure there are no barriers to meeting deliverables
  • Complete reports as requested by the Production Manager
  • Maintain and improve processes and procedures for efficient operations
