Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Production Planner in Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on translating customer orders for the assigned cell, balancing loads, and ensuring capacity is used efficiently to meet delivery requirements.

You will review WIP and daily schedules, stage parts, verify material availability, and coordinate with production, quality, and management to maintain smooth flow. The position emphasizes safety and process improvements as part of a long-term career with StandardAero.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in planning and/or scheduling.
  • Good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Previous experience with ERP databases and proficiency with computer navigation.

Responsibilities

  • Review current WIP for various cell to provide daily schedule for OPS leaders.
  • Review daily production schedule to properly move and stage parts for workflow efficiency for operations team.
  • Stage parts
  • Ensure orders have the proper materials required.
  • Review various reports on the progress of work, material delivery dates, rates of production and other production information, using manual or computerized systems.
  • Monitors the movement of parts, supplies and material within and between cells/business units to ensure that supplies, materials and products are shipped and received on schedule.
  • Work with other departments: production, quality, and management to ensure a smooth flow of production.
  • Advise the OPS leaders of the status of work in progress, material availability and interruptions in the schedule to ensure that personnel, equipment, material and services are provided as needed.
  • Identifies and initiates improvements to production process flows.
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements and report unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.

As a Production Planner, you’lltranslate customer orders for the assigned cell involving several sequential operations. Control various production factors to ensure balanced and leveled loads; appropriate utilization of available capacity (labor, tools and equipment); and bottleneck management, allowing for a controlled flow of approved materiel to meet delivery requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in planning and/or scheduling
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
  • Previous operations planning and/or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Previous experience with ERP databases and proficiency with computer navigation.
