Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain the master production schedule in Bardstown, KY. You will coordinate with sales, engineering, production, and procurement to align demand with capacity and material availability.

You will use ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel to analyze data, forecast needs, and drive continuous improvement in production planning and material flow. This role requires strong analytics and communication skills to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including capacity planning, inventory management, forecasting, and logistics.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform complex data analysis to support decision-making.

  • Apply 6S and process improvement principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe production planning environment.
  • Communicate production plans, changes, and priorities clearly and promptly to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments.
  • Track key performance indicators related to schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and resource utilization, and recommend corrective actions when needed.

Job Title: Production Planner

Work Environment

This role is based in a fabrication manufacturing facility with a large production department, providing direct exposure to shop‑floor operations and production processes. The position follows a first‑shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a consistent daytime work routine. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams in an environment that leverages ERP/MRP systems, advanced Excel tools, and data‑driven decision‑making to support production planning and scheduling.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bardstown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 – $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
