Job summary

Kelly Services in Fairport, NY is seeking a Production Packer to visually inspect bottles from machines and ensure quality while maintaining a clean, controlled work area. You will set up the space, manage paperwork, and support production with materials and inventory checks.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years in manufacturing/packaging, SAP and MS Office familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. OT opportunities apply and full-time status is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing or packaging experience.
• Familiar with SAP and proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Able to perform simple math.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Able to operate a walkie truck.
• Able to lift and load pallets up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspecting bottles from machines, conveyors, or bulk containers and making quality decisions on each part.
• Setting up the work area as a controlled environment with required attire.
• Performing housekeeping to maintain a clean production area.
• Maintaining paperwork per quality work instructions.
• Supplying molding machines with materials and scrap containers.
• Navigating SAP screens and transaction codes to check inventory balances.
• Supporting line clearance procedures and ISO 9001 work instructions.
• Operating assigned machines and reporting issues to supervision.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation

$20.00 – $23.00 per hour

Shifts:

• $20.00 - 1st shift: 6:30am – 3:00pm Monday–Friday, OT on weekends as needed
• $22.00 - 2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11:00pm Monday–Friday, OT on weekends as needed
• $23.00 - 3rd shift: 10:30pm – 7:00am Sunday–Thursday, OT on weekends as needed

What’s a typical day as Production Packer? You’ll be

• Visually inspecting bottles from machines, conveyor lines, or bulk containers and making quality decisions on each part
• Setting up your work area as a controlled environment (attire including hats, gloves, beard masks, coats)
• Performing housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean production environment
• Maintaining necessary paperwork and records per quality work instructions
• Supplying molding machines with raw materials, components, and scrap containers
• Navigating SAP screens and transaction codes to look up inventory balances
• Supporting line clearance procedures and adhering to ISO 9001 Quality Work Instructions
• Operating assigned machines or equipment and alerting supervisor or set-up personnel when issues arise

• Have a High School diploma or GED (required)
• Have at least 2 years of manufacturing or packaging experience
• Are familiar with SAP and proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Can perform simple math (add/subtract whole numbers)
• Can read, write, and understand English
• Are licensed to operate a walkie truck
• Have excellent hand/eye coordination and can lift and load pallets up to 35 pounds
• Can work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt quickly
• Are able and willing to work overtime as needed
• Own and wear steel toe or composite toe shoes/boots
