KDM is hiring a Production Packer for 1st & 2nd shifts in Cincinnati, OH. This in-office role requires accurate packaging, labeling, and assembly of products per customer specs. You will read work orders, operate shrink-wrap and tape equipment, and ensure shipments are prepared correctly.

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Area
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office
Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

The Production Packer is responsible for preparing finished products for shipment by accurately sorting, counting, assembling, packaging, and inspecting materials according to customer specifications and work instructions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring orders are completed accurately, packaged safely, and delivered on time.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule

1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Location

This is a full-time, in-office position based in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

In-Office Position

No Remote / No Hybrid

Compensation

Starting at $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging & Shipment Preparation

Package finished products according to customer specifications and work instructions.
Prepare materials for shipment while ensuring product protection and accuracy.
Label and organize completed orders for distribution.
Sort, count, and verify products prior to packaging.
Ensure quantities and product specifications match work orders and job tickets.
Identify and report discrepancies as needed.
Assemble kits, promotional materials, and product bundles according to customer requirements.
Organize components to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.

Work Order Review

Read and interpret work orders, job tickets, and production instructions.
Follow detailed procedures to meet quality and customer expectations.

Quality Inspection & Documentation

Verify that packaged products meet quality standards before shipment.
Document quality concerns and communicate them to supervisors.

Packaging Equipment Operation

Operate packaging-related equipment such as shrink-wrap machines, tape machines, and related tools.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines.

Inventory & Supply Support

Monitor packaging supplies and notify leadership when replenishment is needed.
Assist with inventory organization and material movement as required.

Cross-Department Coordination

Coordinate with production, shipping, and quality teams to meet customer delivery timelines.
Support other departments as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to read and follow work orders, job tickets, and written instructions.
Basic math and counting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Preferred

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, packaging, or fulfillment environments.
Experience operating shrink-wrap equipment, tape machines, or similar packaging equipment.
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
