Job description

Position Overview

Responsible for proper and safe operation of all winders, glue machines, folder/stackers, conveyors, tapers, packaging, finished goods, and scrap. Maintains scrap reduction, housekeeping, and quality standards while ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Operate winders, glue machines, folder/stackers, conveyors, tapers, and related equipment with safety and quality focus.
  • Maintain scrap reduction, housekeeping, and quality standards.
  • Read and follow the Traveler handbook and perform visual quality checks based on line performance and speed.
  • Report non‑conforming product to the operator, quality auditor, team lead, or production supervisor immediately.
  • Assist operators as needed to improve safety, quality, housekeeping, and production.
  • Ensure all packaging—including labels, boxes, cartons, sleeves, twist‑ties, Julian date code, and pallet pattern—conforms to quality standards.
  • Maintain a neat and organized workstation in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Participate in the Safety100 Program and other safety initiatives as required.
  • Safely operate all equipment, including winders, carton magazines, glue guns, tapers, pallet lifters, tie‑matic machines, etc.
  • Report any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to the production supervisor or team lead immediately.
  • Attend multiple lines based on bag count and line speed, as directed by management.
  • Participate in employee‑driven teams to address scrap, quality, safety, or other production‑related issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
