Placements24 is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer focused on production optimization to join their team in East London. This role is instrumental in analyzing and enhancing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.

You will work closely with production staff and management to implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in industrial engineering focused on production optimization.
• Experience with lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping.
• Familiarity with SPC and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes to identify bottlenecks and waste.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Design and implement efficient production layouts and workflows.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and training materials for production processes.
