Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on Continuous Improvement to join our team in East London. This hybrid role drives productivity, efficiency, and quality across manufacturing and operations by applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

You will analyze workflows, lead CI projects, develop SOPs, and facilitate Kaizen events with cross-functional teams, reporting KPIs and sustaining gains in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial engineering or process improvement.
• Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and CI tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Effective communication and facilitation skills, with experience in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing and operational processes in East London.
• Lead and participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing product quality.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and workshops to engage employees in improvement initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and report on KPIs related to continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvements.
