About the role

This position reports to the Production Supervisor. Your responsibilities include:

1. Perform wiring activities on electrical panels for equipment.
2. Read schematics, connection diagrams, and other documentation to wire according to those drawings.
3. Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish tasks.
4. Maintain logs, records, and reports related to production, machine maintenance, and product quality.
5. Maintain equipment and conveyors; perform basic repairs as needed.
6. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate with materials handlers for supplies.
7. Periodically check products for quality and consistency, resolve issues, and notify the supervisor.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measure, screwdrivers, and battery-operated tools.
• Understanding of hardware components—nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
• Knowledge of 5S principles (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain).
• Use of necessary PPE.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, connection diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Ability to operate cranes or lifting devices, if needed.
• Proficiency with hand tools and working safely at heights with ladders.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic computer skills for parts lookup and documentation.
• Basic mathematical skills and good hand-eye coordination.
• Minimum of 6 months relevant industry experience involving wiring from schematics, building equipment from drawings, understanding bills of materials, and identifying parts from diagrams.
• Work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
