LV Production Operator Wiring 1st shift

Reporting Line

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Perform wiring activities on electrical panels for equipment.
  2. Read schematics, connection diagrams, or similar documentation and wire according to those drawings.
  3. Use various machines and hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
  4. Maintain logs, records, and reports related to production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  5. Maintain equipment and conveyors, performing basic repairs when needed.
  6. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed.
  7. Periodically inspect products to ensure quality and uniformity; resolve issues and alert supervisor as necessary.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measure, screwdrivers, and battery-powered tools.
  • Understanding of hardware components like nuts, bolts, and screws.
  • Familiarity with 5S methodology: sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain.
  • Knowledge of necessary PPE and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to operate cranes or other lifting devices as needed.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and safe ladder usage.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Basic computer skills for parts lookup and documentation.
  • Basic mathematical and communication skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • At least 18 months of relevant experience in wiring from electrical schematics, building equipment from drawings, understanding bill of materials, and identifying parts from drawings.
  • Minimum 18 months experience working with electrical distribution equipment such as switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, transformers, load interrupter switches, or busway.
  • Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
