Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. is seeking personnel for a production position at our Wisconsin plant. The role involves weighing, sealing, and palletizing bags within specifications, ensuring proper lot codes and cleanliness, and delivering pallets to the warehouse.

You will report nonconformities and follow GMP, safety, and sanitation policies. Education-wise, a High School Diploma or GED is preferred, and a valid forklift operator license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Properly weigh, seal & palletize each bag within specifications; report any nonconformity.
  • Monitor bag weights & check for sediment in powder; report any nonconformity.
  • Deliver neatly palletized bags to warehouse.
  • Properly stencil and lot code bags as needed.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and cleanup of equipment, supplies in bagging and work areas throughout the plant.
  • Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping.
  • Adhere to all GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Refer to work instructions.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education

Job description

AMPI owns six Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation's American-type cheese and processed cheese is produced. The cooperative's award-winning cheese and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. In 2019, the co-op launched its Dinner Bell Creamery brand and accompanying Co-op Crafted promise, highlighting more than 50 years of dairy farm families partnering with skilled cheesemakers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority.
  2. This position has a heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
  3. Properly weigh, seal & palletize each bag within specifications; report any nonconformity.
  4. Monitor bag weights & check for sediment in powder; report any nonconformity.
  5. Deliver neatly palletized bags to warehouse.
  6. Properly stencil and lot code bags as needed.
  7. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanup of equipment, supplies in bagging and work areas throughout the plant.
  8. Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping.
  9. Adhere to all aspects of company and customer safety, sanitation, and site policies.
  10. Assists with training new employees.
  11. May be required to relieve other jobs, or clean if production is less for your job position.
  12. Report and communicate critical information during shift change over.
  13. Provides assistance to the maintenance personnel, when needed, for machine repairs or troubleshooting.
  14. Adhere to all Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  15. Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  16. Adhere to all GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  17. Refer to work instructions.
  18. Other job duties as assigned.
