Job summary

IDEX Corporation is hiring a Machine Operator to safely and efficiently run production equipment for component manufacturing on a 1st shift. You will load materials, monitor lines, and verify quality while following ISO 9001 and 6S standards.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and basic computer/ERP use. Prior manufacturing exposure is preferred, with overtime and weekend flexibility as business needs require.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine operation experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter information into manufacturing or ERP systems.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and workstations per established work instructions and safety requirements.
• Load raw materials and components into machines or fixtures as required.
• Monitor machine operation and product flow to meet cycle times and output targets.
• Conduct visual inspections to verify conformance with quality standards.
• Identify and report defects, issues, or shortages to the supervisor.
• Maintain production records in ERP or manufacturing systems.
• Follow ISO 9001 procedures and quality processes for consistency and compliance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow PPE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet objectives.
