The Production Operator/Operations Technician will carry out activities involved in the manufacture of specialty chemicals, following ISO and PSM procedures at all phases. Tasks include SAP data entry, laboratory analyses, and knowledge of IMDG and 49 CFR dangerous goods certification for shipment. Adherence to quality standards, safety standards, and EHS policies is mandatory.

Operation of reactors:

• Load and unload tank wagons and rail cars (raw materials and finished products)
• Perform blending operations in storage tanks
• Operate reactors for batch processes
• Transfer materials between vessels

Essential functions include:

• Charging, sampling, and controlling reaction vessels
• Handling raw materials safely
• Recording process data
• Maintaining safety, housekeeping, and plant equipment
• Performing general plant maintenance
• Following safety and environmental protocols and reporting incidents

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to handle raw materials safely
• Willingness to wear respirators or SCBA
• Availability for 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Forklift certification and basic math/computer skills
• Physical ability to handle materials and PPE
