We currently have an opening for a Field Services Technician (3D Scanning and Survey, Reality Capture). This position is remote and able to be located anywhere within the US.

As a Field Services Technician, you will perform on-site 3D laser scanning, compiling, registering, and reporting of the collected data to generate 3D models and presentation materials. This position also performs field visits, including loading the equipment for transportation, set-up of equipment at sites, and demobilizing equipment when scanning is complete. Field Services Technicians will also compile various reports, documents, and/or drawings of finding, and all other duties as required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent knowledge gained from education and/or work experience
  • Basic surveying instrument operator experience is required, experience with Leica Laser Scanning equipment is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of laser scanning data processing, experience with Leica Cyclone is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License is required
  • Ability to travel is required and travel is frequent from Monday - Friday; most travel expenses are paid directly by WD, rather than reimbursed costs to the technician
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Comfortable working in public spaces and interacting professionally with the public, store management, and customers as needed
