Furst-McNess Company in Cordele, GA is seeking a full-time Production Operator for a Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm shift with possible overtime. The role involves safely manufacturing and packaging high-quality feed and minerals, operating production equipment, and maintaining GMP-compliant, clean work areas.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and safety. Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred, and forklift certification is welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or warehousing preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification.
• English literacy and basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing, production, and packaging equipment.
• Package product and stack bags or bulk product onto pallets.
• Measure, prepare and add materials according to work instructions.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods.
• Load and unload bulk materials from trucks or other deliveries.
• Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance needs.
• Follow inventory procedures and repair damaged bags or pallets as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; complete housekeeping tasks.
• Complete production, quality, and safety documentation accurately.
• Follow all safety guidelines and GMP requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

See our benefits summary below.**POSITION SUMMARY:**The Feed Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently manufacturing and packaging high‐quality feed and mineral products. This role operates production equipment, follows established procedures, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and supports daily plant operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‐oriented, and committed to producing consistent, high‐quality products while contributing to efficient plant operations.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:* Operate manufacturing, production, and packaging equipment* Package product and stack bags or bulk product onto pallets* Measure, prepare and add materials according to work instructions* Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods* Assist with mixing or production processes as trained* Load and unload bulk materials from trucks or other deliveries* Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and assist with basic repairs when trained* Follow inventory procedures and repair damaged bags or pallets as needed* Maintain a clean and safe work area; complete daily and weekly housekeeping tasks and documentation* Complete production, quality, and safety documentation accurately and on time* Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, equipment lockout/tagout, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve issues* Perform other duties as assigned**QUALIFICATIONS**:* High school diploma or equivalent required* Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or related experience is preferred* Experience operating industrial equipment, or willingness to learn and operate equipment safely* Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support* Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork* Effective teamwork, communication, and reliability skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities* Willingness to work in an indoor warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather conditions* Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment**About Furst-McNess Company**:For more than a century, Furst-McNess Company has been a trusted leader in animal nutrition, delivering innovative feed, mineral, and management solutions to livestock producers across the United States.
