Job summary

Kirby Risk Precision Machining in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Production Operator to perform CNC tasks per specs and blueprints. You will load/unload machinery, conduct quality checks, and ensure parts meet customer tolerances while following ISO procedures.

Responsibilities include deburring, cleaning, packing, and reporting defects. You must consistently meet production pace and safety requirements in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have good attention to detail and organization.

• Follow KRPM procedures for operation and inspection of parts, maintaining ISO quality practices and tolerances.
• Inspect all parts produced to meet customer quality expectations during milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, cleaning and other processes.
• Detect and report defective materials to production Supervisor for corrective action.
• Perform 5S on machines and work areas as required for a clean work center.
• Maintain production pace to meet customer demands and shipment deadlines.

What You’ll Do as a Production Operator

In this role, you’ll:

• Perform CNC machining tasks according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
• Load and unload machines, quality checks, deburrs, cleans, and packs parts to customer specifications
• Follows all KRPM procedures for operation and inspection of parts, ensuring ISO quality practices are respected and tolerances are maintained throughout the entirety of each job run
• Inspects all parts produced to meet customer quality expectations while performing milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, cleaning (all bench operations) and other processes as designated
• Detects and reports defective materials and concerns to production Supervisor for corrective action
• Performs 5S on machines and work areas as required by department management for a clean area and work center
• Maintains production pace to ensure customer demands and shipment deadlines

• Schedules: Monday–Thursday, 1st Shift or Monday-Thursday, 3rd Shift
