Job summary

WEG Transformers USA is seeking a Production Assembler for 2nd or 3rd shift to build transformers. You will read BOMs, interpret drawings, and perform wire and assembly tasks with close attention to safety and quality. This role offers opportunities for career growth within a global manufacturing leader.

The position requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work on the 2nd or 3rd shift in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Framing and top-yoking active part.
• Identifying and calculating lengths of cable for lead runs and making LV/HV connections.

Responsibilities

Pay: $23.71/hour plus .75 shift premium for 2nd shift and $1.00/hour shift premium for 3rd shift

Role: Production Assembler (2nd or 3rd Shift)

You will perform a range of tasks in the production of a transformer:

• Reading, understanding and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, schematics and specifications to complete assignments with limited supervision;


• Framing and top-yoking active part.


• Properly identifying and calculating lengths of cable for all lead runs; preparing leads as well as cable assemblies; making all Low-Voltage (LV) and High-Voltage (HV) connections, Load Tap Changer (LTC) connections, preventive auto transformer connections and/or series booster transformer connections if applicable. Route and tie off leads.


• Verifying correct installation of insulation and lead runs for running cable leads, ensuring all clearances are maintained and all crimped, bolted and/or brazed connections are installed.


• Preparing cover, installing bushings, and other hardware for mounting onto tank or active part.


• Moving unit to and from test bay using overhead crane.

Requirements

Basic:

Preferred:
