• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple areas with competency and flexibility.
• Train Production Operator I & II and oversee transfers.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure accurate and complete data collection and reporting.
• Communicate with Planning, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supervisors.
• Respond to machine errors and perform advanced equipment functions.
• Assign team members and move the team to productive areas during downtime.
• Lead 5S initiatives and maintain organized work areas.
• Solve complex quality issues and contain product within the department.

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator III Lead to join our team here in Grand Rapids. The Production Operator III Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

What Will You Get To Do:

• Demonstrate competency and willingness to operate multiple areas
• Responsible for training Production Operator I's, Operator II's and transfers
• Participate in Kaizen events, problem solving teams and improvement projects as available
• Ensure data collection is accurate and complete

What Will You Bring:

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge in an ERP system like Oracle
• Highly analytical with strong troubleshooting skills, capable of diagnosing and correcting complex faults and downtime; Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and with individuals at all levels
