Job Duties:

1. Read and follow Job Ticket instructions
2. Prepare artwork and create print ready files for digital printing
3. Troubleshoot files for potential issues
4. Perform basic preventive maintenance (TPM) in the machine
5. Promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided, PPE usage.
6. Execute and engage other peers in housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
7. Drive Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zone
8. Have a machine ownership mindset in order to ensure the productivity is aligned with the expectation. Drive communication with the maintenance team and direct operations manager if something needs to be addressed.
9. Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities
10. Communicate any problems discovered in preflight process
11. Maintain high level of quality, accuracy and productivity
12. Impose files for digital presses
13. Send imposed files to printer and check for accuracy
14. Fully engaged in the Employee Suggestions Program driving not only suggestions in the respective zone but also engage other team members to provide suggestions as well.
15. Fully understand and engaged in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement / problem solving in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards.

Job Requirements

1. At least 2 years of experience in Prepress operations
2. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suites (Illustrator and Acrobat)
3. Knowledge of and ability to check file specifications (color separations, fonts, links, document size, etc.)
4. Familiarity with prepress workflow
5. Ability to understand and read working instructions
6. Knowledge of printing functions helpful
7. Ability to read graphics specifications
8. Have experience using Lean Tools (A3, 5Why, Fishbone diagram, etc.) is preferable
9. Have experience in managing the 7 Elements of Waste is preferable
10. Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
11. Advanced PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes
12. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions in English
13. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
14. High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail

17. Customer focused, both internal and external
18. Day shifts - Monday - Thursday. Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
