Job Duties:

  1. Read and follow Job Ticket instructions
  2. Prepare artwork and create print ready files for digital printing
  3. Troubleshoot files for potential issues
  4. Perform basic preventive maintenance (TPM) in the machine
  5. Promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided, PPE usage.
  6. Execute and engage other peers in housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
  7. Drive Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zone
  8. Have a machine ownership mindset to ensure productivity aligns with expectations. Drive communication with the maintenance team and direct operations manager if something needs to be addressed.
  9. Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities
  10. Communicate any problems discovered in preflight process
  11. Maintain high level of quality, accuracy and productivity
  12. Impose files for digital presses
  13. Send imposed files to printer and check for accuracy
  14. Fully engage in the Employee Suggestions Program driving suggestions in the respective zone and engaging other team members
  15. Understand and engage in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement/problem-solving in the zone; actively identify detractors and record them on the Tier Production Boards.

Job Requirements

  1. High School or equivalent (preferred)
  2. At least 2 years of experience in Prepress operations
  3. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suites (Illustrator and Acrobat)
  4. Knowledge of and ability to check file specifications (color separations, fonts, links, document size, etc.)
  5. Familiarity with prepress workflow
  6. Ability to understand and read working instructions
  7. Knowledge of printing functions helpful
  8. Ability to read graphics specifications
  9. Experience using Lean Tools (A3, 5Why, Fishbone diagram, etc.) is preferable
  10. Experience in managing the 7 Elements of Waste is preferable
  11. Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
  12. Advanced PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes
  13. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions in English
  14. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  15. High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
  16. A personality style that is inclusive, communicative and respects others
  17. Recognized by peers as a contributor to achieving the daily Task
  18. Customer focused, both internal and external

Working schedule:

Day shifts - Monday - Thursday. Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
