Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin is hiring an Operator to support production by operating a variety of equipment and following work instructions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, safe procedures, and efficient process flow on a Friday–Sunday shift from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to follow verbal and written directions.

Qualifications

• Machine operation experience preferred.

• Ability to read and understand provided work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
• Identify and escape potential safety risks on the floor.
• Operate equipment, independently or in a team environment, per the work instructions.
• Utilize electronic devices daily to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria and accurately log production numbers.
• Perform repetitive tasks as needed and maintain production pace and quality standards as specified by the applicable documentation to meet process metrics such as delivery, efficiency, and quality.
• Recognize and react to problems with equipment, escape as required.
• Close attention to detail concerning product quality through utilizing visual criteria and escape issues to appropriate personnel.
• Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as necessary to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts.
• Work with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment.
• Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
• Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction and at specified quantities per the part tag.
• Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
