Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation is seeking a Production Operator I for the 1st shift in Grayslake, IL. The position is temp-to-perm, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, working in a shop environment with standard safety protocols.

The role involves setting up and operating machines, reading BOMs and blueprints, and performing quality inspections to ensure customer specifications. The company emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Communicate effectively. Must be able to Read, Write and Speak English.
• Knowledge of various types of equipment such as air and power tools; micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Work with Quality to conduct inspections and verify product meets specs and standards.
• Operate air and power tools as needed in manufacturing.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
• Keep tools and supplies organized and area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
