Job summary

Cal-Tex is seeking a Production Operator I to fill orders and receive materials in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include operating bottling equipment, adhering to SOPs, and meeting deadlines in a warehouse setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year in warehouse operations, with forklift and hazmat certifications (or ability to obtain them). Physical duties include lifting up to 40 lbs and working around loud machinery.

Qualifications

The Production Operator I will be responsible for filling orders and receiving materials in an efficient, safe and accurate manner, while adhering to procedures and meeting department deadlines.

Essential Job Functions :

The Production Operator I must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and quality manufacturing process.
  • Achieve production output goals assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain a strong focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside of the group.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Operate materials handling and bottling equipment.
  • Adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task is a must .
  • Perform other duties that may reasonably be assigned.
Education/Experience:

The minimum educational background of an applicant to this position is a High School degree or GED . At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations.

In addition, a qualified applicant will have:
  • Forklift Certification (can be completed within a specified time period upon hire)
  • Hazmat Certification (can be completed within a specified time period upon hire)
  • Detail oriented, can work under pressure of deadlines and multi-task.
  • Excellent written, analytical, verbal, and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and quickly, and as part of a team to execute tasks.
Compensation:

$17.50/hr.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Operator I will be expected to perform physical activity, such as, walking lifting, bending and standing on hard surfaces for an extended period of time , perform repetitive movements for prolonged periods, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Will be regularly exposed to loud machinery and have some exposure to hazardous material . The majority of job responsibilities are performed in a warehouse with exposure to temperatures related to current weather conditions . Some flex hours may be required .

Interaction will occur with various departments, employees and management in the performance of the job duties as they relate to the Production Operator I. Interaction will generally entail the exchange and gathering of information and responding to questions and requests from Operations leaders
