Job summary

Opta USA, an Opta Group Company, is seeking a Production Operator I in Milan, Michigan. You will perform a variety of production tasks to support operations, including packaging, cleaning, and routine maintenance, while following safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication and basic math skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prior production experience.

  • Capable of following a production report while working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Packaging 10 - 50 lb. bags of bulk product via saddle to pallet as well as filling 3000 lb. super sacks.
  • Cleaning of the warehouse and equipment as required.
  • Daily maintenance of equipment.
  • Calls specialists when more serious problems occur.
  • Tracks various data associated with production equipment.
  • Reports any inconsistencies and uses standard repair procedures.
  • Work in compliance with company safety and operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Production Operator I will report directly to the Shift Leader and is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks to assist with operations in production.
